I’m an art teacher who sees 165 kids a day. I’d love to have some transition music! Something short and upbeat to get kids to their seats, something musical without lyrics for them to listen to while making art, and then some great cleanup / line up songs–again something upbeat ( not Barney’s clean up song or anything preschool sounding!) Thank you–what a great site!!
Since I am not 100% sure of the grades you teach, I will do my best to get this right.
1) Short and upbeat to get kids to their seats
Considering you are an art teacher, this might be a good choice as your kids come in…
2) something musical without lyrics for them to listen to while making art
Here is a 58 minute playlist of songs all by Vitamin String Quartet. Basically classical music but all pop songs. No lyrics, and your kids will recognize some songs for sure. (Jason Mraz, The Shins, Coldplay, Panic at the Disco, Ray LaMontagne, Fleetwood Mac, David Gray, James Taylor, Van Morrison, The Fray, Group Love, Neon Trees, Train, The Script, Of Monsters and Men, Mumford & Sons)
3) some great cleanup / line up songs–again something upbeat
Hope you enjoy. Please let me know if this is what you are looking for, or if there are other formats you would like.
