Request Line

If you have made it to this page, then you are in the right place to request your songs.

There are two ways to get that request in…

Email me at:

TheClassroomDJ@gmail.com

or leave me your requests in the Comments box below.

Make sure to include as much information about what kind of music you are looking for. The more details you provide, the better the songs and playlists will be.

Once the playlists are completed, be on the lookout for the playlist posted to the Playlists tab and homepage.

  1. I’m an art teacher who sees 165 kids a day. I’d love to have some transition music! Something short and upbeat to get kids to their seats, something musical without lyrics for them to listen to while making art, and then some great cleanup / line up songs–again something upbeat ( not Barney’s clean up song or anything preschool sounding!) Thank you–what a great site!!

  2. I am a third grade teacher looking for music to play during writing. I have played Enya and other soothing music and it helps the kids get relaxed and focused and ready to write. I am looking for a playlist.

    Thanks, Carrie

    • On the homepage, you should see a Follow the Classroom DJ on the right side. You can enter your email address in the text box and click the Follow button. Let me know if that doesn’t work for you.

  3. Hi, I am a 2nd grade teacher and I am looking for a few transition songs to use when switching activities, or coming to the carpet, or lining up! Thanks so much!

    • Hi Samantha,
I have posted your transition songs that you requested to the home page. It is called, “Transitions songs for Samantha’s second graders”. Pretty clever title. Hope everyone enjoys.

    • Hi Trish,
I have posted your transition songs that you requested to the home page. It is called, “Request for more transition songs…”. Also, you will see directions in there on how to follow me on Spotify. Enjoy!

  4. I teach 2nd grade and Dr. Seuss Read Across America Week starts tomorrow. We’ll be eating Green and Eggs and Ham and would love a playlist to go along with it. Thanks!

  5. I am a 4th and 5th grade teacher and I am looking for music to use during transitions between subjects, moving from their desks to the carpet, clean up time, etc. A lot of the music I have found either winds the students up or it’s too old for them to know.

    • Hi Polly,
I just posted another group of transition songs. These are all instrumental versions of some popular current songs that last about 30-50 seconds. The post is called “Hip Hop Transitions”. Hope your kids don’t get too wound up from these. Enjoy!

  6. I would love a Build Me Up Buttercup kind of list to use during mornings of standardized testing…a bunch of perky pump-you-up kind of songs. Thank bunches!
